On today’s international day of persons with disabilities, I am so grateful for the accessible sport and recreation options here in Colorado that I’ve been able to enjoy! Everything from water to snow to trails has been so fun, along with meeting incredible people along the way! β™ΏοΈπŸ‘©πŸΎβ€πŸ¦½β€βž‘οΈ#IDPWD #Disability

Wheelchair? Hearing Aids? Yes. β€˜Disabled’? No Way.

#Disability is not a bad word & identifying as such isn't saying you can't do stuff - it's a starting place for understanding & can open doors for supports and accommodations to better access the environment, incl healthcare! Am quoted in NYT alongside others: www.nytimes.com/2025/11/15/h...

This would make it nearly impossible to find anyone to provide daily support & assistance for care. Anybody who has tried to find care knows it is already extremely difficult to find reliable & helpful ppl w consistency. Nobody wants a job that pays below minimum wage and/or doesn't pay overtime.
