New preprint out!
In this study, we introduce NanoFLex, a strategy that combines #HaloTag variants with #nanobodies -based immunolabeling to enable rapid, OneStep-IF #lifetime #multiplexing. Possible due to SmartSecondaries fused to #HaloTag from @nanotag.bsky.social: www.biorxiv.org/content/10.6...
We are excited to be recruiting a new tenure track group leader in the Structural Studies Division at MRC LMB! It is an amazing place to start your own lab.

The gray planet symbolizes a cell that appears lifeless at first glance. Lectins, depicted as a UFO, illuminate and reveal its glycans, transforming it into a vibrant molecular landscape and highlighting the hidden complexity and biological significance of cellular nanoarchitecture.
Our Glyco-STORM paper is officially out in the 23 Feb 2026 issue of #AdvancedScience: doi.org/10.1002/advs....
Celebrating with the cover artwork🎉.
What looks gray and lifeless at first glance unfolds into complex molecular landscapes when revealed with lectin probes & super-resolution microscopy.
We’re still at the @biophysicalsoc.bsky.social

Interested in cell-cell communication and microscopy? We are searching for a motivated postdoctoral researcher to join Münster! Please Apply! @uni-muenster.de
very sad news. Peer Bork was one of the leaders of our field, a wonderful scientist, and he's much too young to be gone. www.embl.org/news/embl-an...
So very sad news. A brilliant mind. My thoughts are with his family.
My lab in the NIH Intramural Program (Bethesda, MD) will be recruiting postdoctoral fellows over the next year with flexible start dates. We work on nanoscale cellular imaging of the plasma membrane and related organelles. Please reach out if you’re interested. www.training.nih.gov/jobs/pdp-053...

Please spread the word🔊My lab is looking to hire two international postdocs. If you want to do comp neuro, combine machine learning and awesome math to understand neural circuit activity, then come work with us! Bonn is such a cool place for neuroscience now, you don't want to miss out.
Much enjoyed this nice cryoEM study of NONO:SFPQ heterocomplex this morning, while it was snowing outside. So happy to read a paper in full again (only a handful of papers read in full in last weeks or even months ☹, and some were to review).

A cool thing was the FRET-based diffusion analysis that allowed a separate analysis of MET receptor monomers and dimers👇🏻
Great work led by Yunqing Li @yunqingli.bsky.social & another great collaboration with Hartmut Niemann (Bielefeld). Funded by CRC1507 'Membrane-associated protein assemblies' @crc1507.bsky.social at @goetheuni.bsky.social 🙏
Receptor tyrosine kinases bind ligands and (often) dimerize. Yet how long, and how does that change their mobility? Using single-molecule FRET in living cells, we found that MET dimers 'socialize' for ~1 second while lowering lateral diffusion and confinement 👉🏻 doi.org/10.1002/smll...
