Gotta love it when our program gets $1.8 million emergency dollars to recreate a program that ended last year, but the money is coming 4 months late so we are WAY behind where we should be, AND without additional staff support.
I have to make the impossible happen, and I’m so stressed out. 😰

Ran out of my stimulant this morning so instead of 40mg I’m operating on 10mg.
Given how stressful work is this week…I’m STRUGGLING.
Send sanity and focus please, I need it.

I have another one…

As a kid, I once woke up because there were several lady bugs in my mouth, and dozens crawling over my body.

I saved my cousin from drowning in a pool when I was 6 (she was 4) because I thought we were playing “super heroes” and she didn’t know how to swim.

I’m probably going to DNF my current audiobook because the narrator is not doing it for me. She uses weird accents that sound similar to Russian, but they’re very poorly done. I’m going to have to read the physical book this time.
Kinda bummed out because I was excited for this one!

I’m having a conflict.

My hair stylist does an amazing job, she’s the second best stylist I’ve ever had.

BUT…I think she’s a horrible person and I hate talking too her. She’s super condescending towards everyone and I constantly think “WTF?!” When she speaks.

Now I wish I had gone bolder…because that sounds awesome.
It’s just shorter and there will be color when I’m all done!

I managed to read 11 books last month.
That’s a personal record.
My favorite was definitely Guillotine by Delilah S. Dawson.

Ancestry.com did another update last October.
My DNA is still highest for England, followed by Scotland, but a little bit of Ireland has returned. Denmark (not in the photo) surfaced at 4% which is also pretty cool.

Time to start book 11 for February!

I’m struggling with the Spongy Moth (Lymantria dispar) cross stitch.
The floss colors are all similar to the fabric color so I keep missing stitches.
I should have chosen a different fabric 🙃
But I will persevere! This one is for work.

This movie made me cry so much last night. Great movie, but be warned if you have a complicated relationship with your younger sibling and divorced parents.
I could relate to the older sister 100% and it really hit me in the feelings.

My nose is so red and itchy from blowing it constantly the past 24 hours.

My psychiatrist mentioned today that it may not be an allergen (like a candle at the spin studio) and instead, it could be exercise-induced rhinitis.

I looked it up and OMG I think she’s on to something…

There is a candle (or something) at my spin studio that I’m allergic too. I’m going on hour 13 of a horrible sneezy/runny nose allergy attack with a bad headache.

I get this reaction about once every two weeks and I have no clue what’s causing it! Its maddening.

Time for my second watch of The Mighty Nein!

I love family night.
It’s the teenager, my ex-wife (teen’s other parent), my partner, and my metamour (partner’s fiance). We play table top games, watch shows, and play D&D.

Healthy #polyamory families are the best.

I signed up for 2 more wetland amphibian field surveys next month.
I gotta put my expensive waders to good use!

Today was a Tolkien-inspired day.
I wore leggings with the script from the One Ring on them, and this necklace.

It has Eowyn’s quote (from the book) right before she deals the killing blow to the Witch-King.

In the movie she says “I Am No Man!” But I love the original book quote better.

Today’s Card 6 of cups- a card of nostalgia, comfort, & sentimentality.

Mood: My inner child is tired and needs a nap after the insane day at work I just had Lol. Oh well, time to eat tacos, watch shows, and play games with my loved ones. Sounds lovely.

I spent the morning wading in wetland water halfway up my thighs and soaked from heavy rainfall. It was glorious.

No amphibian egg masses at this location (still early in the season) but I did find rough skinned newts and beaver dams!

I love volunteering with the Oregon Wetlands Conservancy.

Off to the urban wetlands I go, to wade into the murky water and look for frog and salamander eggs!

District Honor Choir Concert!

My teenager was chosen to be in Honor Choir this year and there is a district concert this afternoon.

Their favorite piece is a Malaysian folk song and I’m SO excited to hear it!!
