And US servicemembers are starting to die. Trump has never been adept at handing grief. The politics of the grieving aren’t the most important thing, of course, but those politics might just cost Trump some more support.

Uh, I don’t know who you are to pronounce about my understanding, Ms. Berg. Just because Trump disregards the law doesn’t mean he has the capacity to subvert elections. He doesn’t.
He can’t stop anywhere close to 53% of the vote, though. All of his tools will only reduce the vote counts by the single digits unless local officials let him (which they won’t in the states where he must win).
He can’t possibly arrest tens of thousands of election officials, & he doesn’t get to replace the election officials anyway. All federal police aren’t numerous enough. Best he can do is make an example out of a few hundred. But then he risks a unified backlash from the other tens of thousands.
And Trump can’t force tens of thousands of state officials to do anything the way an adult man can with a single teenager.
