Profes o gente que trabaje en bootcamps/FP privadas/sitios que den clases de programación... si alguno busca profe ¿me puede escribir, porfa?😊

Blogging about learning to code feels quite frivolous in this context, but it is what it is.

Been cookin' lately. Way more than I've been postin'.
Historia de Twitter. Aún recuerdo ese tuit y me entra la risa.
I released a new book 🎉
SwiftUI Fundamentals combines my knowledge and experience from using SwiftUI since its release and working on its source code at Apple to give you a solid understanding of the most important aspects of the framework: books.nilcoalescing.com/swiftui-fund...

I'll release a new version of Autonome before the end of the week.
This new update is all about creating invoices and sending them to your clients straight from the app, which should've been available in December.
Also, this YT channel is *chef's kiss* to work to: www.youtube.com/@HumanoStudios

For some strange reason, Xcode wants me to preview my app in a tamagotchi-sized iOS device.
Here's the thing.
I got a brand new app ready to launch. It's small. Like "it took me 2-3 hours to code" kinda small. But I'm glad I created it because I needed an easy project to gain confidence after a time off.
Should I ship it? It'd be my 3rd released app (the 2nd small one).
What makes a good password? Is it a random combination of letters, numbers and symbols? Length?
I'm not here to promote myself, but as an Italian whose grandparents lived during Mussolini's regime, I wrote something on this topic that I believe you may find interesting: micheleriva.medium.com/umberto-eco-...
Coding lately
Btw, DON’T follow my example. If you’re sick, take a sick leave.
I’m not doing it because I took some days to be with my mom, who was at the hospital, and I can’t test my employer’s patience.
But by all means, always put your health first.
My first post wasn’t glorifying meritocracy at all.
Been dodging fevers, flus and colds during this winter season until today.
I didn’t have shivers like this since COVID. And 38° C? The same.
The worst part? I can’t take a sick leave now. My 9 to 5 is bananas ATM.
Luckily I have a killer chicken soup and I’ll try to sleep for over 10 hours.
A Swift forum thread that deserves your attention:

I’m still not used to Apple Music’s features and UI, and I definitely miss some QoL feats from Spotify, but I’m not going back.
Apple Music’s discovery radio + the fuckery Spotify’s at the moment make it extremely easy for me.
Now I have to figure out how to arrange my playlists by creation date.
⛵ Ahora que somos más en 🦋, os recuerdo que sigo buscando trabajo. Ojalá esto llegue a buenos puertos tech!

This is an amazing survival list.
If I may, I’d like to add that legumes (chickpeas, lentils, beans…) are a great, affordable source of protein.
They store well (whether dry or purchased already boiled, in a jar), and are versatile enough to make pastas, stews, dips and desserts go crazy.
I think the URL is broken
Thanks to generous members of the Swift community, I have 4 diversity tickets to give away for Unwrap Live 2025! If you're from an under-represented group in our community and can attend, email paul@hackingwithswift.com with a little info about yourself. https://www.hackingwithswift.com/articles/27…
I’d love ti be added, Parker.
I’m still a rookie, but definitely invested!
My dad is a sucker for PG Genesis (just PG in general) and I have lots of their songs embedded in my childhood memories (but kinda locked). I didn't listen to them for ages and then, a couple of years ago, I had a go at Trespass and SEBTP, and the memories just came back.
Such a unique band.
Since apparently being a nice person is illegal in the US now, it’s time to pull out my most popular blog post ever.
It’s called “survival tips for women in tech”, but I’m told it works for all genders and in countless industries.

Ah, yes, the endless cycle of “it’s so over / I’m so back”

This is WAY above my current pay grade. But I appreciate you giving me a mini roadmap to research and learn more for future projects, Davide!
If google shuts down, I think my app's state might be my least concerning problem (because it'll mean big shit's going down in the world 🫠).
Thanks for your feedback! Do you recommend any alternatives I should look into?
TBH, I doubt my app'll go super viral, but it's good to have options.
Firebase looks like a very promising all-in-one tool: auth, database, easy implementation... At times, it feels too good to be true.
Am I missing something here or it's just as good as it looks?
