Finally got around to reading MMSM #300 and what an issue! Ziglar tells a great story and Vicentini and Valenza pulled out all the stops on the art. We go deep into the head of Rabble, Agent Gao reaches the height of her villainous descent, and Miles hits Taskmaster so hard he changes art styles!

Gotta say, don’t listen to the critics on this one: Mercy was an absolute thrill ride! See it in 3D if you can, because some of the spatial work was mesmerizing. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time.

Saw Fantastic Four: First Steps last night and really enjoyed it. Can't stop thinking about some of it's better moments, including a scene between Sue and Reed that earned a collective gasp from the audience from Kirby's performance. But the true delight was the score, which I'll have on loop today.

TWO DAYS TO GO! Spent a good chunk of today testing out the dimensions of one of the rewards. Not the final design by any means—or materials—but I used Snow White Zombie Apocalypse #1 by @brentonlengel.bsky.social and @hanaroda.net for the fit check since it matched the vibe and I like it!

Four days left before I launch Rootfolk! The one task remaining is the Kickstarter video. It's been a long time since I've done any keyframe animation, but it's really satisfying. A couple of transitions are NOT smooth yet, but I'm proud of what I've done so far. You'll see it on 3/18!

When I started writing Rootfolk, I read as many comic book scripts as I could. But compared to film, where scripts are readily available online, they were really hard to find! I have a great appreciation for creators like @jamesthefourth.bsky.social who make them available.
