i think this is a screen test. this guy’s doing an audition for Dung Defender
when i was fighting the Last Judge i noticed that the minor judge enemies you encounter on the runback have a lot of the same moves as the big boss. when i first encountered them they seemed really tough but once i learned how to take them out effortlessly it made the Last Judge waaay easier

the closest i’ve come is revisiting old work after five to ten years and discovering that it’s much better than i gave myself credit for.
i think the point is that if big publishers fund more smaller projects then it wouldn’t be as catastrophic if they fail. they can eat that cost. but if the next multimillion dollar, AAA bonanza tanks then that results in hundreds of lost jobs and studio closures.
although i’ve only played the nds version, it’s gotta be dragon quest v. otherwise i’d go with earthbound!
awesome work! i love all of of granular stuff and how naturally it transitions from the organic flapping to the more synthetic sounds. it all works so well!
