Disabled People have much to fear from the discredited pseudo-science of eugenics. This presentation explores key themes followed by an opportunity for questions. The session contains some distressing content. We advise caution as there will be depictions & discussion of harm being done to disabled people and other groups. β’ Slides will be audio described β’ BSL interpretation β’ Closed captions available Poster for event with Leeds DPAC and York DPAC logos. Image shows drawing of tree with title of EUGENICS across it. Sub text reads "Eugenics is the self direction of human evolution" and "Like a tree eugenics draws its materials from many sources and gives them organic unity and purpose". The roots of the tree have words associated with eugenics on it, such as genetics, anthropology and heredity. Contact Leedsdpac@gmail.com for further information or if you have any access requirements or support you may need to attend the event.
Join us and York Dpac for our online talk and discussion on the impact of eugenicist ideology on disabled people and all marginalised groups on 4th December 6pm.

Thank you for sharing this. Have you tried contacting any trans organisations for help? May also be worth asking your MP to get involved, as it's the sort of casework they should be handling. I've copied in national DPAC to see if they have come across this before @dis-ppl-protest.bsky.social

Leeds DPAC urgently calls on other local DPAC groups and DPOs in the UK and internationally to publicly stand against Israel's unrelenting genocide and occupation of Palestineβ¦
β¦and stand in solidarity with the Palestinian people, including disabled Palestinians and those being disabled en masse by Israel with the support of the US and European powers, including the UK government.
Forced displacement, forced starvation, and disablement via bombing, sniping, trauma, systematic torture and the constant threat of violence are disability issues that affect the whole of the Palestinian population. As disabled people and allies facing our own issues as a result of the international attack on human and disability rights, it is imperative that we are concerned with the collective liberation of all peoples, recognising that our struggles are deeply connected.
Leeds DPAC recognises that the violent state repression of the Palestinian solidarity movement is a crackdown on all civil rights, including disabled people's right to protest too. We understand that Palestine is a Disability Justice issue for the reasons outlined in this article and by many others. Friends and allies β we call you to speak out for a free Palestine and an end to the persecution of all those speaking up in the UK and across the world.

Limited scrutiny of the Bill by the House of Lords as the former has been considered by the Government as a "Money Bill". 9.
