I can't do it anymore but I used to feel such incredible clarity after 35 hours awake. I wrote such good papers then.

I made this leap two years ago and it was so worth climbing that learning curve. It feels like time travelling back to a time when using a computer was actually pleasant.

In your defense, we hold more than a dozen of these every year and it would be challenging to come to all of them!

Sometimes when people ask me why I’m wearing a mask I say I’m traveling or have some important thing soon and can’t afford to get sick and miss it and that’s pretty much always true but I think it would be nice if it were more normalized to just say “I don’t want to get sick” and leave it at that

I don't understand how some folks are unable to see that the illegal disappearing of people is a class issue. The wealthy and well-connected get due process. The rest of us don't. This is part of the oligarchy, not a distraction from it.

One in every three emails I've received this month have been from some level of the NDP but I still haven't received a response to an email I sent the ONDP in January. 🙃

I'm so proud of my kid for volunteering with me on her first election campaign yesterday. We managed to do some phone banking and canvassing and had a great time encouraging folks in Hamilton Centre to support @matthewgreen.bsky.social.

How Well Is Congestion Pricing Doing? Very. One hundred days in, honking is down; bus speeds are up.

Some stats from 100 days in on congestion pricing:
- Complaints about car-honking are down 70%
- The Holland Tunnel has 65% fewer delays at rush hour; time to get thru it is down 48%
- 6 million fewer cars
- Half as many traffic-related injuries
- 1.5 million more visitors to BIDs year over year

As someone who is rapidly approaching forty, I've noted that all of my friends who have already hit that milestone are feral, regardless of gender or marital status. I'm pretty sure that y'all just give zero fucks at that point and I can't wait to get there.
