i have heard some people with my computer have gotten good results with a displaylink-capable hub though, i've been reticent to go in that direction because my understanding of the tech is that it's kind of a bodge/hack, but if that's the only way i can get it to work my hands might be tied

i'd love to also get both monitors working, but even if apple's display controllers supported multi-stream transport (which they don't), it currently isn't even sending a single signal to the higher-res landscape monitor, other than when it just mooches the same signal that the portrait monitor uses
