Likely because it was the first Zelda - and one of the first major games - to elicit feelings of restlessness & sadness, even if at its heart Zelda is not a scary or a sad line of games per se. But when we saw the death of the Great Deku Tree or Link bidding farewell to Saria, that felt new.

Note: The referendum will first only be on restarting the negotiations, but clearly a sign of shifting geopolitical thinking.
