Yesterday, five-year-old Liam and his dad Adrian were released from Dilley detention center. I picked them up last night and escorted them back to Minnesota this morning.
Liam is now home. With his hat and his backpack.

Some fun facts: only half of US citizens have passports. Almost 10% either don’t have, or can’t access, their birth certificates. We don’t carry our passports to prove ID or age; most people carry driver’s licenses for that. In several states you don’t need to prove legal residency to get those.

If I were running the DNC, there would be Democratic Party sponsored food relief banks across the country right now that specifically welcomed anyone regardless of party affiliation.

Why is it that every disappeared US citizen is not front page news? At the very least we should have a little box with a count of the number of citizens who have been taken away and are not locatable and a link to a story with photos & min-bios, just as we used to do with military casually figures.

400 mg/pint and 4-6 pints (1/2-¾ gallon) a day equals 1600-2400 mg (1.6-2.4 g). And my doctor is saying I need to increase that - didn't give a target, so I need to experiment.
It's interesting that in my rural town, unlike the last 40 years, campaign yard signs make *no mention* of party affiliation.
I'll calculate the added sodium from the sports drink later today.
My specialist tested me for blood volume way back in 2001, shortly after I was diagnosed with ME. Results came back on the very low end of normal. As I age I'm finding that my body needs higher levels of sodium to stay hydrated. I drink a sports electrolyte drink instead of water.
