I hope the second part will have a much stronger story. The project definitely deserves a continuation and has real potential to be better specifically in the sequel—like what happened with Kung Fu Panda or Sing, where the second movies were way better than the originals. Here’s hoping for the best.
Overall, if it weren’t for the great animation and the cool designs of the side characters, I’d feel like I wasted my time. But luckily, animation can still deliver — at least visually.
Same vibe as the kid from Spies in Disguise.
That said, unlike the completely flat cat character, he at least had an interesting design and a couple of neat traits tied to his unusual look.
This is gonna get a bit nitpicky.
The main character also felt more like a minus than a plus for the movie. He’s a pro at what he does, but his mom died, and now he’s trying to achieve some grand goal for his dead mother. They could’ve at least tried to come up with something new.
On the other side, we have this. The design is just as flat as the character herself. Her story is basically Lightning McQueen from Cars. And I’ve already seen Cars.
Same vibe.
No joke, in my opinion this is the best part of the movie! And if I ever draw something related to the cartoon, I’ll definitely choose this character. Bold, edgy, and with a really cool design. #GOATmovie
