The oddly low watch time is the only reason I can think of why it's performing so poorly but every other metric I have seems to indicate that people loved the video, I'm just confused as to why the watch time is so bad if it's perceived as my best work by so many, I can't make the numbers make sense
1h21m is a bit longer than my typical long videos but MTPO (1h04m) averages 33%, Zelda 1 (1h08m) 35.5% over nearly 2m views, DK64 TAS (55m) also 35.5%, DK64 101% p3 (1h) is at 38%, but Celeste is at 26.9% despite super high engagement. Same number of comments as videos with 4x the views
It's weird, it's getting way more engagement (likes, comments, etc.) than my typical videos but its watch time is lower than my average (~28% of the video, whereas similar length videos of mine would get around 32-35%). The initial thumbnail had a low click through rate but the new one is doing fine
Celeste is #3 on speedrun.com by active runners and #5 all time in total runners, it's true that it doesn't have the nostalgia factor but it feels like it cemented itself as one of the quintessential speedrunning games, being even more popular than SM64 and SMB1, or like the top 5 Zeldas combined
Similarly, Celeste doesn't look like it's fading out of the picture either
Of course that's just the popularity of one search term (speedrun) but it doesn't really look like a decline, more like it's no longer growing but still at its peak since 2020
Not pictured: Zelda 1, SMB3 (both videos), DK64 any% TAS, SM64 1 key TAS, SMB1 4:56 and 4:55, every single one of those completely eclipses everything I've released in the past 2 years. Am I just washed?
I got an incredible amount of positive comments, especially relatively to the view count, and yet it is completely tanking. When you compare it to videos of mine from the past 5 years, it's right around the mark of the bottom 5, out of 28. If I could compare further back, it would be even bleaker.
I gotta admit it feels really disheartening to be putting out what feels like my best content ever and to have it flop hard numbers-wise. I don't know what I did to anger the algorithm gods but I've been feeling doomed to get lower and lower performing videos over the past two years.

Replace n with your age - 5 to 15 years for maximum effect.
The spider has 6 health and shrinks when its health goes down to 1. Each Kong's gun damage values are: DK 2, Diddy 2, Lanky 1, Tiny 1, Chunky 3. Taking its health straight from 2 or 3 to 0 skips the last phase. It doesn't prevent you from getting the Golden Banana (speedruns fight it as Chunky).

That makes a lot of sense. Lanky would also get the tiny spider as his gun damage is 1, the same as Tiny's.
I didn't verify this but I think all you have to do is get the golden banana, leave and reenter Fungi Forest, and you can walk in again as Tiny, no glitches needed.
