Anyways, 2025 was personally the happiest I've been, honestly, in over a decade. I'm going to try and make the next year better for myself and others. hopefully, only blue skies ahead

so much of the past 2 yrs has been focused on stabilizing my life after a tumultuous period before, focused on getting through this postgrad and qualifying as an architect that it feels like life is starting again for me in '26. Do other architects feel this way?

- I generally did better reaching out to, talking to, seeing friends, something I'm so awful about, and something I'm always trying to be better at
- I paid off 20% of my debt, which tbh is faster than I thought that'd go

highlights of 2025:
- I finally qualified as an architect in the UK, something that was a long time coming that felt like it would never actually come around
- I lost 30kg/66lbs
- I travelled to Cyprus and S. Korea this year, and caught up on old friendships I'd let slip by

I'm working on a long form prose project I think for the first time since school, and it is working a completely different part of my brain than writing for screen or comics, very strange experience

I’ve been puzzling on the breakdown of the final 3 chapters of Kahlil for weeks. I knew the beginning and the end but had no clue what actually happened in it. And like a bolt of lightning it hit me now. That kind of revelation — It’s the best feeling there is

- consistently put out the podcast I do with my friends, something NO ONE could’ve guessed.

Anyways, easy to think nothing good happened or no progress was made but it did! There was!

Anyways here’s my goal for 2025:

Learn to ride a bike.

I hear it’s as easy as riding a

- made finalist/honorable mention in some screenwriting contests and got to speak with Damon Lindelof(!!!)
- finished another OGN script (Kahlil book 3)
- got a raise at work, I’m good at my job!
- I was more social, seeing more friends this year than I had in the past, a real issue for me

Highlights of 2024:
- I lost 21kg/46lbs this year, which is just wild.
- passed my exams for my final part 3 architecture diploma, still the final exam next summer but halfway done.
- paid off a major debt

Say what will you will about Snyder’s take (and I don’t like it) but he at least tried something new (and got a killer soundtrack out of it). I much prefer an ambitious mess than a safe, uninteresting product every time.

Emblematic of that is the reuse of the Williams theme. It’s a great theme but it’s fifty years old. Can You make something new? Will You try? Or will you retread old ground because that’s what people are desperate for? Or you think they’re desperate for that.

It feels like it’s starting a universe, it’s colorful and silly and wow isn’t superman just a friend to everyone, he even saves cats from trees.

It’s a ‘product’ and it didn’t have to just be that
