In other ways, I’m just hoping I can manage to pay my bills, find work I can do, make enough money, not further injure myself, and do all that while trying not to be a burden on my community. While the world burns. And hopefully there will continue to be funding to cover all this. Good times.

In some ways this is very exciting because they’re saying my body weight will be around what it was when I was 30 years old. It feels like a new chance.

It breaks down like this:

-3 months of weigh-ins, psych evaluation, nutritionist, etc.
-Gastric sleeve procedure end of April
-1 month post surgery recovery
-Est 9-10 months to reduce BMI to safe level for hernia surgery
-Hernia surgery
-1 month post surgery recovery

Well now I have an idea of how long it’s going to take to repair my hernia. The new fun part is going to be figuring out how to survive the next 12 months as a disabled person. I guess some folks do it their whole lives.
