I love this movie for what it is, and I wish it could be as simple as that.
This is why I admire Martin Scorsese as a filmmaker. He's explicitly stated that he hates it when movies tell audiences how to think or feel. Scorsese believes that audiences should be smart enough to realize the message(s) being told.
This is why I don't really like watching trailers for anything anymore and prefer to go into something completely blind. Of course, when I'm at the movies, it difficult to avoid trailers 😅

As I told Studio Zolo, it seems like this one trailer for the Cat in the Hat film is like the ONLY form of marketing I've seen for this flick at all.
These so-called "cinephiles" only want things that are strictly mainstream and have universal appeal. Nothing is allowed to have any sort of nuance to these people.

My theater experience was the most interactive I've seen. I mean, it was only a small group of people but they always had funny quips to make throughout the film lol

I just want to take a moment to say how much I really dig every film being greenlit by Pete Docter over at Pixar. They've been personal and imaginative with very compelling stories and themes. What they're doing in Emeryville is appealing so much to my tastes.
