That looks lovely. Do you know what their vegetarian/vegan options are like?

Ooooh errr!
It’s all in the dose - a very small amount of bleach can make water safe to drink, a larger amount would make it very unsafe to drink.
I would like to acknowledge that there are very few people in this world who would just happen to have a spare mobility scooter sitting around.
J’s Dad has lent me a wee mobility scooter to try out and I just took it round the block for a test drive. This is going to expand my world so much AND it’s hella fun.
Yikes!
Having been in ED with assorted relatives, the volunteers and their cheese sandwiches are literal angels.
This just promoted me to have a convo with J to remind him that if I’m ever in hospital, he needs to keep my emergency snacks stocked instead of relying on the system
Travelling with small kids we’d always pick the stop with a big lawn and shitty coffee over a nicer place with nowhere to run.
That’s something we thought on a recent road trip. Ideally a park/paddock where you can give the kids and/or dogs a run with a cafe or even just set-up for food trucks. No one wants to sit in a grubby petrol station while their car charges.
Turns out what I thought was hormones might be thrush. Took myself to the nurse clinic for a swabbing and some cream. At least they let me do a self swab so no one needed to look at my junk.
Perfect
Fantastic!
Poor C is stuck in testing negative but is snuffly and had a brief Covid exposure last week limbo, in his flat where he can hear the Newtown festival but can’t go out and have fun.
I was born in AoNZ, have been to the UK once when I was three, but would need to go through the same rigmarole if I wanted to visit my cuzzies.
Fair enough.
I don’t get my celebration on my last birthday, so today @janstice.bsky.social made me a make-up Random Sunday Pancake Breakfast 💕💕💕💕💕

Hope there’s more fun than annoyance.
You might get to hear F playing with Niko Ne Zna which sounds like it will be a good time.
When your brain wakes up before your body and for a blissful moment nothing hurts.
Gorgeousness!
Tonight for dinner J cooked frozen dumplings in a kind of red curry soup/sauce that used silken tofu in place of coconut milk (a recipe he found on an FB reel). Super tasty with a good whack of protein to keep my blood sugar polite. So that’s staying in rotation.
This is so great - absolutely stoked for you!
Welly folks, if you’re heading to the Newtown Festival tomorrow, you might catch F who is filling in on trombone with Niko Ne Zna playing Balkan folk music.
I wish I shared your optimism. I reckon the election is Labour’s for the losing and I don’t see them getting their act together. And as long as the media is incapable of giving Green and TPM a fair go…
Yes, I admit the “yet” in that sentence was doing a lot of work.
I haven’t almost been run over by Luxon yet, so I guess he’s got that going for him.
I’d ask about how they decide which issues to include/exclude in their decisions about which companies are ethical to invest in, and how they monitor if companies they have chosen to invest in keep within those ethical bounds.
Up at godawful o’clock so we could talk paths and ramps with the concreting dude (who has had to postpone several times due to weather delays). It’s going to be a huge, spendy job but the house and garden will be so much easier to access.
Wonderful!
