My top albums of 2025. An incredible year and very hard to narrow down this year. Hard to really put these in any order and all these albums were in heavy rotation. The top three are phenomenal and my most played by far. I'm hard pressed to pick, they all hold my number one spot.

#nowspinning "Bleeds" by Wednesday. One of my top albums of this year. They follow up to the phenomenal "Rat Saw God" with another perfect album. Blending genres into a sound unlike anyone else along with the phenomenal songwriting of Karly creates something special.

#nowspinning "A Mother's Curse" by Strychnos. Their debut album, years in the making, is a phenomenal effort from one of my favorite bands. #strychnos #amotherscurse

#nowspinning "Something To Consume" by Die Spitz. The much anticipated
debut album from one of my favorite bands. Following up a couple incredible EP's with this debut album. It is a phenomenal release that is my favorite album of 2025 so far. #diespitz #somethingtoconsume

#nowspinning "The Poppies Bloom For No King" by Panopticon. Was not expecting a surprise EP benefitting an important charity. The title track is profound and one of my favorite tracks they've released. Austin is a huge influence and just the best.

#nowspinning "Laurentian Blue" by Panopticon. A brilliant new album from one of my favorite artists. A welcome experiment from previous albums, a raw stripped down look at Panopticon's other side. One of my favorite albums of the year.

#nowspinning "Heritage" by Opeth. The tenth album from one of my biggest influences. A great progression of their influences and continued evolution for their sound. A divisive album that doesn't get the appreciation it deserves. #opeth #heritage

That's a shame but I totally get it, this album definitely feels different from their earlier output. Their early albums are great.

#nowspinning "Funeral Soundtrack #4" by Destroy Boys. Stand out track is "You Hear Yes" featuring two of my favorite artists as guests, Mannequin Pussy, and Scowl. Just an incredible anthem of rage and vulnerability. One of the best songs of the decade.

#nowspinning "Far from the Light of Heaven" by Weald & Woe. The follow up to my favorite album from 2023 "For the Good of the Realm" they return with another brilliant album. One of the best metal acts right now. Another fantastic release from my the best label Fiadh Productions.

#nowspinning "In Penitence and Ruin" by Tribunal. Tribunal returns with their brilliant sophomore album. Building upon their debut release "The Weight of Remembrance", which was one of the best albums of 2023. Another phenomenal doom album from Tribunal, and I can't wait to see where they go next.
