This is what Hegseth’s “no stupid rules of engagement” means - straight up war crimes.

OK, a week ago thought the odds of Trump trying to attack Cuba over 75%. Now they’re probably 95%. Marco Rubio’s, wet dream, and that of every right wing Cuban in Florida.
The first bunker busting bomb cut a hole in the roof of the shelter, the second came in after and incinerated everyone inside, like at ground zero at Hiroshima. In every war since WWII, we’ve committed massacres like this. The byproduct of racism and callous indifference to the deaths of others.
The Bush administration initially denied, lied, etc. Before being proven responsible. I visited the shelter in Dec 1996 while bringing medicine to Iraq in violation of US UN sanctions. I met Um Haydr, who lost her entire family in the bombing and stood vigil in her grief.
Even well read Americans are generally oblivious of the US bombing of a civilian air shelter in the Ameriyah neighborhood of Baghdad on February 13, 1991. Two bunker busting smart bombs penetrated the roof of the shelter, killing 408 mostly women and children. www.gicj.org/positions-op...
I really hope someone convinces Noem to make an actual dorky “Shield of the Americas” with eagles or an embossed profile of Trump or something for her to carry around with her in public.
I really don’t think Pete Hegseth thinks about any of this stuff, or cares, for that matter. Utterly in
curious, utterly ignorant of the rest of the world. Why would he consider the consequences of anything he does?
No. Trump administration officials killed those children. Don’t outsource legal responsibility to a computer program.
let’s all remember that the Trump administration is hell bent on allowing AI to make autonomous decisions on bombing targets, etc. with exactly this kind of predictable result.
This is indefensible on its face, but who can or will be held legally responsible when an AI system commits a war crime?
The most brazen lie ever told by a US President. Maybe the most brazen lie in the history of US politics. Full stop.
Truly, one of the most corrupt and generally awful cabinet appointments in modern history. But her utter shamelessness and complete lack of concern for any future accountability is fairly remarkable.
This is amazing, especially given the untrammeled state propaganda that passes for much US news these days.
this is so good. some of the writers mentioned who were shipped across the archipelago to Boven Digul could well have ended up in Cowra!
You were clearly not where we were while we were getting high.
He was filming Law and Order SVU where i was living at the time. His precise words, as I was walking by with my caged cockatiel to drop it off at a friends house, were “if you don’t shut that fucking bird up, I’m going to eat that motherfucker for breakfast.”
Ice-T once threatened to eat my pet cockatiel for making too much noise.
All war is war on the poor.
Holy shit, that's right. Stephen Miller and Musk are blasting this every day to nods of approval from the entire Republican establishment.
The US has been using, encouraging, and then abandoning the Kurds in Iraq and Iran for over 50 years. Its the same old story. And it will happen again (this is from 2019). foreignpolicy.com/2019/10/14/u...
Trump really does think that 1899 or so is when the United States was greatest.
This is an enormous shift in mainstream opinion. If Gavin Newsom is calling Israel an Apartheid state and questioning US military assistance then we have truly turned a corner.
Trump on self-determination for the indigenous inhabitants of Diego Garcia, who’s repeatedly been affirmed by the international court of justice, among others.
Maybe you could mention the innocent Iranian civilians who are being killed as well, including the estimated 175 killed when the US bombed an elementary school the other day - an out and out war crime.
“Be the regime change you want to see in the world.” Hard to believe this song is 8 months old. youtu.be/Vcc3kdxbLYI
I mean he is right though- both Democratic and Republican presidents have launched military actions without approval, and even in 1991 and 2003 both Bush’s asserted that they could go to war without invoking the WPA or a vote.
Same for Southeast Asia. Tiny little communities in other languages, but not yet viable.
Trump: Make racist murderers great again. "At Harpers Ferry National Historical Park in West Virginia staff members have asked federal officials to decide whether a document that describes an abolitionist’s murder by a mob might “denigrate the murderers.” www.washingtonpost.com/climate-envi...

Democrats would win a generational landslide victory running on this platform in ‘26 and ‘28 but Schumer and Jeffries will never support it, which is why they need to be ousted.
