fluxer and stoat are both pretty lightweight, open source apps, I don't mind running them both and having them both on my phone, I'll get notifications when you message me on either of them, and that's actually totally okay. decentralization is good, actually

I actually don't think we need one true anti-discord to jump onto while leaving the others to fizzle out. we've gotten way too comfortable letting a singular platform control so much of our online presence, that's kinda how we got here ...

so I've been fucking around with a few of the various discord alternatives. tried root, fluxer and stoat, and currently I think fluxer is far and away the best replacement, with stoat being a respectable second (OF THE THREE I'VE TRIED, I know someone out there is gonna say it's matrix), that said..

fwiw my roommate had the same thing and it also took about 4-5 days to clear her fever. my temp's come down since this morning; the tylenol has worn off fully and I'm holding around 100.5 atm. if it suddenly goes back above 102 I'll consider it but I think my body's handling it now

do I get some kind of achievement for having a fever for over 100 hours? temp-wise I haven't improved at all, just got a reading of 102. I'm kinda getting used to it, taking tylenol whenever it gets too spicy. sucks to be stuck in bed most of the day tho 😔

to be clear, it is otherwise NOT fun lol

is it fucked up that I get some endorphins from having a fever because some part of my brain feels the burning eyes and general fatigue and is like "oh yeah, I guess we're on edibles :)" ??

I'm 35 now and my life is so drastically different from how it was when I turned 30. there are so many things I didn't even know about myself then, let alone all the crazy stuff I've done. 30s are actually pretty cool, and we still have a lot of life left to live

pretty sure someone swiped my estrogen pills at the festival this weekend, just a few doses. they do kinda look like adderall if you don't recognize estradiol. some raver, desperate for a high, is gonna grind up and snort it only to have mood swings and sore nipples for the night lol
