Claire died in May 2025 aged 42 from uterine leiomyosarcoma, a rare and aggressive cancer that is often diagnosed late.
When Claire first presented with symptoms, she was told it was IBS.
As months passed, she had to insist on further investigation.
We’re working with LBC Radio to understand whether patients are experiencing delays or difficulties receiving their test results and we want to hear from you.

We’re at the #PlaidCymru conference this weekend.
Cancer patients in Wales are still waiting too long. Outcomes in lung, less survivable, and gynaecological cancers remain stubbornly poor, with too many families pushed into financial crisis.
Only 1 in 5 people diagnosed with cancer in Wales say they received information about psychological support.
Cancer affects your mind as well as your body.
Mental health support must be consistent across Wales, not postcode dependent.

Six cancers in Wales have a five-year survival rate of under 20%.
That should stop us in our tracks.
Lung. Pancreatic. Liver. Brain. Oesophageal. Stomach.
We need focused action on the cancers with the worst outcomes.

Cancer in Wales is rising.
120,000 people are living with cancer today.
Around 20,000 are diagnosed each year.
By the end of the next Senedd term, that could reach 230,000.
