Seira does most of the hard work to make this shot look good. Although took me 2 hours to tie the mannequins in preparation

Part of the reason I stopped taking as many photos this year was to understand why I take photos. It's to see the effect rope has, not the rope itself. That's secondary to the emotive experience

I realise that I've not taken nearly enough rope photographs this year. My camera has been dormant and i may need to change that. But I'll post a few of favourites from past times to maybe inspire me for new ones too

Using just a single column tie and a hojo cuff can yield quite the variety of shapes
