So my... (Inserts label here) Decided to bloom for the first time in 3 years. Acquired from work after it got knocked off a table and it's original bloom spike broke. The buds hadn't opened yet. Incredibly fragrant at night, like being suffocated by a Gardenia bush, during the day it's quite mild.

Gave Ana a new plushie I got from the Humane Society I adopted her from. Anytime they have new toys I have to give her a new one. She still has every plush ever given as she's gentle (not with people*COUGH*) but with her toys she's super gentle.

Mounted another orchid for fun and... Ana being perfect.

Oh yes, exciting when an orchid takes to a report so we'll, I honestly thought it did single blooms haha. The other has a giant spike forming and another is so tiny and adorable! Sometimes I'm surprised I've had the two big ones for 5+years and haven't killed them yet.

Scared of repotting an orchid that has lived in clay for years and years? Easy way to extract is to soak the orchid the day before for an hour, then soak again before the repot and then ease, just ease and give gentle wriggles and it should pop out with no rips! But never force it! #orchids

Enjoy some of my loaves... I can never quite figure out scoring the bread, it just keeps fusing. The darker one was Rye, and absolutely delicious, the last one that looks like it struggled was kneaded by my niece and nephew haha #sourdough

I almost didn't even notice her sending out these flower spikes. Nearly had folded back into the pot, had to gently ease them out haha. My Bulbophyllum Elizabeth Ann 'Buckleberry'. Been a rather fickle orchid, never had horrid issues but do have to watch her. #Orchids

Years ago I tossed a dying Spaghetti Strap Agave and a few rooted leaves of Sansiveria into my Plumeria pot... Yeah so that was an ordeal tearing them all apart. Don't get cutesy with doing combo pots of tropicals, just don't... #tropicals #plants #horticulture

The annoyances and love of orchids, a dollar orchid I acquired from a store that was bloomed out is rewarding me, my Miltoniopsis that I gritted my teeth and repotted isn't instantly dying, but thriving, and now my Zygopetalum that I've nearly killed twice years ago needs a repot haha #orchids

So a few years ago I acquired one of the coveted Pink Princess Philodendron. Very sweet plant and easy to care for but my goodness she's a picky thing when it comes to showing colors, full sun, part sun, different types of light and fertilizers... Still fun to get a splash every so often.

I honestly keep forgetting what this guy is but ever since I saved him from a compost bin he's been my favorite desk plant and just loves my south window. #succulent or #Pilea or #Jade? Oh and my little begonia I saved a cutting of last fall and is also a little desk friend now! Along with the rest.

The Amaryllis from before but what luck, an old brass container fits the pot perfectly to give it a much desired and might I say, deserved regality. Anyone wishes to know how this was done it was easy. I'm quite lazy and none of my plants I'd consider high maintenance, even the #orchids . #plants

Started as a 6 inch long cutting around 5 years ago is now becoming an unruly monster. If you've been burned by String of Pearls, try Chain of Hearts. Probably the easiest dangly succulent ever. Every so often I cut a few strands and stick them into the soil. If you are OCD, don't, they tangle.

Fun fact, the humble Amaryllis can rebloom every year after a proper rest, can produce new bulbs, and have several bloom stalks per bulb. Here is an ancient one of mine with 5 stalks. Sad to see them get the orchid/poinsettia treatment when they get chucked after blooming. #Amaryllis

Oh speak of the devil she popped one open while I was at work. A pretty common pattern but still love her as aside from a few others is one of my longest owned, and even then she started as a Keiki off another (mother orchid died soon after) so very... From the start with her. #Orchids #Flowers

Rex Begonias may be a beginner plant but their ease of propagation and variety in color makes them fantastic splashes to any collection. Out of nowhere mine decided to add hints of hot pink. #houseplants #begonia

Mounted orchids are quite easy as well once you get the hang of it, I've had this girl for 5yrs, recently remounted her and she blooms twice a year. I just let her soak in the shower a few minutes every other day. She was actually a 1 dollar/finished blooming plant from a store. #Orchids #Flowers
