If you can be “pushed away” from supporting a community’s fight for equal rights or liberation, you were never in the fight to begin with.
One does not have to consciously hate a group in order to engage in bigoted/problematic behavior. But if, when confronted by that group about one’s bad behavior, you double-down or deflect… well you lose the benefit of the doubt.
You “believe in trans rights” but feel free to ignore and speak over trans people?? Like, what is this?
