do you guys remember back in base rise when lance instaguard was kinda dookie (both because of its strangely strict guard frames and also because of the bad motion values) then they buffed it when sunbreak released?

silly questions like "what if they brought back mhrise metsu shoryugeki" are like.... they did. and its called focus strike: vital stab. though its closer to its mhgu iteration rather than the faily powerful rise version

like sure theres the more obvious ones like "oh yeah lance's very satisfying instaguard turned into wilds' perfect guard mechanic" but also the insect glaive's offset is just a mishmash of advancing roundslash (for the grounded offset) and diving wyvern (for the aerial offset)

mhwilds brought a bunch of the sillier attacks from mhrise and its so funny seeing them in the weapon kits of weapons ive played in both games
