The young stars ⭐️ were out at the graduation ceremony for the City of Ottawa’s Advanced Leadership Program. The program is designed to assist youth aged 14-18 develop strong leadership skills. Happy to meet the class from the Fred Barrett arena program. Félicitations!

It was a pleasure to welcome the Governor General's Foot Guards to City Hall along with Councillor David Hill. This iconic unit has a long history & is part of the city’s brand. They are a popular tourist attraction & I’m thrilled to learn they will add 60 members to their duties.

I took some time to brief Mayor Mark Sutcliffe on the new Gastops headquarters that will be constructed in the Riverside South employment lands at Leitrim and Limebank.

The new cutting-edge facility will include manufacturing, research and development. Excellente nouvelle pour le quartier!

I am thrilled to welcome Gastops to City Hall to get an update on plans to build a manufacturing/R&D facility in the Riverside South Business Park. The 50K square foot HQ will house 200+ staff. The new facility is the area’s first major employer & will help energize local jobs!

In honour of Vimy Ridge Day, this morning I joined veterans, community members, Councillor Steve Desroches and MPP George Darouze and The Royal Canadian Legion in Manotick around the Vimy Oak tree at Claudette Cain Park, which was grown from an acorn in Vimy France.

It was a special moment to catch up with former Simcoe North MP & Minister Doug Lewis who was honoured with King Charles III Coronation medal. Doug wrote my recommendation letter for the House of Commons page program in 1988-89. A fitting tribute by MP for Simcoe North, Adam Chambers
