What a bozo, it’s for the same reason European countries will send troops to Ukraine in a ceasefire, to reduce the chance of active conflict going forward. Whereas sending troops to an active war zone gives Russia a boost in recruitment (rally around the flag in a proper war with NATO).

If only there was some kind of organisation that Canada could join which would combine the defences of multiple countries to keep all of them safe from aggression. Perhaps North Atlantic countries could look into it.

Republicans haven’t thought this one through, Greenland statehood is 2 guaranteed democratic senators and 3 democratic votes in the electoral college. After all the reason most Greenlanders want to stay part of Denmark is the standard of living.
Perhaps someone should point this out to them.
