I opened up Word to write something tonight and when that Copilot prompt appeared unsolicited, I chose violence.

Ha. I did that on purpose. 😊 The Underground Railroad. (I think it’s the greatest limited series ever.)
It’s the 2nd best shot series I’ve ever seen.
None of Brahms’ symphonies can touch Schumann’s 2nd, but not many other composers’ can, either.
I really did love lots of Season 1 but that finale really was awful. The big reveal about Mikey just made no sense at all. Not many shows jump the shark in, and retcon, their first season. (And also you can’t throw “Let Down” over the last few scenes and call it a day, you just can’t.)
Sadly, the only team dumb enough to trade for him already employs him.
It’s not good.
Neither sentimental nor a song, but too good not to share here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Jry...
There’s this, but it’s pretty lame: open.spotify.com/track/1Nfl4U...
(also, if you're gonna invoke songwriting greats, sure Dylan, but maybe another songwriter, and not a band that was Dylan's backing band, and also, "by way of Scorsese" means what exactly, we know he made a movie about them, which is relevant to their songwriting how)
This is silly, even for PItchfork.
"a reputation as potential saviors of rock ’n’ roll"
I mean, according to you.
"It's easy to invoke the songwriting greats here - Bob Dylan’s wry social commentary, or The Band by way of Scorsese ..."
I mean, it's not that easy.

If this is accurate, it’s among the most cowardly and despicable acts in the recent history of the American military. Every officer and common sailor who was involved in this affair, even to the extent of failure to object, must face court martial and the most severe penalty.
Who’s ready for the most @theglobeandmail.com headline ever? www.theglobeandmail.com/investing/pe...
Beautiful!
I was there. Maddow really is unique as a public intellectual / journalist / host / celebrity, and uniquely ready for this moment.
Asking Kits boomers what they think about city making isn’t going to fix the broken paradigm, it *is* the broken paradigm.
I think it's underreported that Unite Here is really, *really* throwing their weight around in local politics lately, usually opposing hotels and hotel-related things. Including robocalls under an affiliiated "Take Back Vancouver" brand www.facebook.com/profile.php?...
Seeing @maddow.bsky.social @ the Chan Centre in Vancouver right now, if the USA won’t let her back in after, we’ll keep her.
It was, and but the book is maybe the least DeLillo-like of all of DeLillo's books - it's more of a bottle novella than it is a novel - and also Cronenberg was in the middle of one hell of a run back then.
💯
Same. Steve-O is many times the man Joe Rogan will ever be.
I also love how he gets in a jab at the "startling" Senakw project in an article about a couple living at 3rd and Vine.
But Tyler, "Kitsilano, one of the most attractive and vibrant character neighbourhoods in Metro Vancouver, if not the country" is "bursting with disturbing stories", and someone has to tell every single one of those stories.
Big ups to your dad, I have always put (tortilla) chips in my sandwiches, for me sandwiches are all about not just heterogeneous flavours but also heterogeneous textures.
🤯
I'm inferior, you're the absolute
This has got everything and nothing to do with you
I've a house to buy, I've still got this fucked mind
And as another year turns around the bend
As I nudge out yet another friend, it's still hard out here
But, fuck, I'll just keep going
So "The Deep Blue Okay" was probably my fave song of 2025 and now "The Deep Blue Okay Alt Version" is probably going to be my fave song of 2026. www.youtube.com/watch?v=DF3r...
