Just recorded a fantastic, hysterical conversation with Virginia Feito - about VICTORIAN PSYCHO.
Involves an anecdote about how an annoying toddler on a plane inspired the grisliest scene in the book.
Coming soon.

My fellow authors with books out soonβgod, Iβm so very sorry.
I finally read βThe Yellow Wallpaper.β Itβs one of my Daβs favourite short stories, & of course they read it *to* me when I was younger but this was my first time reading it on my own. I definitely want it on my shelf going forward.
Just a heads up but as a daughter of a trans parent whoβs American - I have 3 parents, 2 of whom are American & 1 who is Scottish - Iβm very aware of the situation in the USA & weβre not doing nothing but Iβm not going to talk about it much on here. Daβs a fighter, though. Theyβve got plans cookin.
Val Caniparoli apparently did an arrangement where every dancer had to be prepared because they actually drew the lots and it wasnβt predetermined so it could be someone different every performance. They all had to be ready. Thatβs BRILLIANT.
I just reread βThe Lotteryβ and after I fell down a rabbit hole about it, I *need* to see the full production of the ballet it inspired in 1953. Iβve found some YouTube videos of different ballet companies, but uncertain how long the full ballet is for such a short story.
I finally made my move over here to Bluesky. Currently stoked after seeing that there is going to be a Guillermo del Toro Frankenstein with Oscar Isaac and many others I admire on Netflix in November. CanNOT wait.
