NCAR is quite literally our global mothership.
Everyone who works in climate and weather has passed through its doors and benefited from its incredible resources.
Dismantling NCAR is like taking a sledgehammer to the keystone holding up our scientific understanding of the planet.
Unbelievable.
Ooo, nice, I just got it from the library!

altCDC gets no funds from donations, but we can verify they are legit and funds go directly to those impacted.

The federal government has censored the work of dozens of scientists, including work by my lab, on the impacts of climate change on Acadia National Park. Signs have been removed from Cadillac and Great Meadow. They’re also removing signs about the Wabanaki’s sacred connections to Cadillac.

A skewed distribution The National Science Foundation (NSF) tilted heavily toward computer science—and ignored the life sciences—in selecting its latest round of 500 graduate research fellows from a pool of 3000 students given honorable mention status in the first round.
Going to give a talk to LSU undergrads about NSF Graduate Research Fellowship (GRFP).
