I genuinely enjoyed this film. I would watch it again (and again). The dark world it creates is compelling- horrible and fun. Jessie Buckley’s performance is breathtaking enough to smooth over any bumps in the dialogue- she sells it completely. Yes, I wanted to like it - I wasn’t disappointed.

When I was 17 I had my first FULL-TIME job as a busser in a DAYS INN motel restaurant. We got half-off on food so I always ate lunch there. The cook made awesome chicken strips sandwiches on big buns with mayo on the chicken. They were so good I still think about them 40 YEARS later!! lolz
