Spike was born in India, but that doesn't get him off the hook, yet even he wouldn't have sunk to Glinner's level.

Saw this in a charity shop today. This definitely didn't age well. π
Well, I think I know who the Skeleton is, don't we @nikkijay.games? π
HEYA LUVS. π

Where did you find this? π
What region was this? Scottish?
Well that's a lovely photo. More please! ππ«
Although compared to Holmes & Watson (2018), The Hound of the Baskervilles (1978) is a masterpiece by comparison.
Whatever happened to Nick Griffin? He had his brief moment of fame then he just vanished. Definitely for the best though.
The jewel in the crown of British cinema. π
Get well soon, at least it isn't NORVID.
@applemask.bsky.social summed it up best, the name change takes the piss on so many levels, they changed the name to the other most common name in the UK, rolled the letters of the initials down the alphabet, job done. It's like a passive aggressive two fingered salute to the name WHSmith itself.
They've got a lot in common.
True Story π
To paraphrase my late mate and mentor Victor Lewis-Smith. "It's about as funny as being born dead with cancer."
I'm getting the impression that because the 1996 Doctor Who with Paul McGann didn't lead to a full series, the BBC chose to do this instead. π€
The Come Back, Mrs. Noah of time travelling crime dramas. π
This isn't even the dodgiest thing John Cleese has done.
They've basically turned into Channel 4 in the 80's, when the individual ITV regions sold the ad space on Channel 4 until 1993. This'll be next.
Toys is the true definition of a cinematic one-off, the once in a lifetime folly every director has in them that they hope to make after one big success. After Levinson struck it big with Good Morning Vietnam and Rain Man, he got his chance. Toys is the sort of project no sane studio would touch.
@chinnyvision.bsky.social The new "WE'RE ALL SUBSCRIBED TO MADE IN MAIDSTONE!" youtu.be/APA37437P5s?...
It shows there's always a glimmer of hope, even if the naysayers say otherwise. Now we need that glimmer to become as bright as the sun.
The worst possible outcome has happened.
Paramount were absolutely determined to get Warner Bros. Even if that meant buying Netflix had they won. Even Universal knew when to give up.

Victor Lewis-Smith told me when he was a young producer on Radio 4 in the 80s, the BBC ordered him to wipe every 3 out of 4 Start The Week and Midweek episodes that he produced. But thankfully for us, he failed to do this and he told me he had the masters, including a wiped Kenneth Williams episode!
Kenneth Williams would have been 100 today. My mate Victor Lewis-Smith did this documentary about Kenneth Williams a few years ago, it features another legend who would have been 100 this year, Stanley Baxter. youtu.be/h9RHYZdMSh0?...
Brilliant, plus have you noticed Homes Under The Hammer are still using the same title sequence after 20 years, even though HD is now a thing and the money in the credits is years out of date? π
Still, could have been worse. At least it wasn't David Walliams or Russell Brand.
*Grainger Market, sorry I said street twice.
I also know you like your vinyl Kim, there's a shop that deals with gaming vinyl called Vinyl Guru on Westgate Road. π
You can see why I visit it a lot. There's a lovely cafe on Grainger Street called the Flower Cafe where Grainger Street is.
