MO POEMS 2025
Last year we started Mo Poems by asking 30 people to write a poem for each day of Movember - we ended up with far more than that!
So this year, we’re doing a Mo Poems Anthology. Submissions will open next week for a month. Everyone is welcome to submit their work for consideration.

Our mental health services still aren’t good enough. Our budget for mental health is still way below the minimum threshold.
The state isn’t doing enough but is taking credit for the hard work of charities and organisations that fill the gaps the state has left. Let’s not forget that.
At least once a week I get a DM from a young person who is being blackmailed by someone using intimate images. It’s staggering and heartbreaking. And there doesn’t seem to be anything that can be done. There’s almost never any recourse. There has to be more we can do
May is mental health awareness month.
My thoughts circle around leading with empathy. Understanding that everyone is dealing with something. That people are often acting out because they’re hurting, and how we should try and show compassion rather than resistance
