Literally, just hearing the word Neanderthal makes my sympathetic nervous system kick in. I can feel the anxiety in my chest. Even though I know it’s absolutely ridiculous.

I read this book when I was 13 and it gave me such bad nightmares that I’m still scared of Neanderthals. It’s hilarious and I can’t control it. I’m going to try rereading the book 28 years later as an experiment. Here’s hoping it doesn’t get worse. 😂
