If you are an Indigenous author who has written a book, I want to read it and maybe publish it! Open call for unagented authors is happening now!
P2Ppit stands for Path to Publication Pitch, and is a Twitter/Bluesky pitch event for writers to post pitches of their books either for industry participation or simply to test, promote, and celebrate their ideas. Pitch events are one of the joys of the online writing community. As Path2pub has always been community-oriented, this idea that celebrates writing and builds camaraderie was one we couldnβt shake off when it came up! Pitching Guide β’ #P2Ppit begins at 9am EST and ends at 9pm, on the 17th of January, 2025. β’ It will take place on both X and Blue Sky. β’ Add the hashtag #P2Ppit to your post to partake. β’ Writers can post 3 pitches in total. β’ Unagented, agented, and published writers can all partake. However please use the below hashtags for clarity: Unagented Writers #UW Agented Writers #AW Published Writers #PW β’ Moodboards are allowed, encouraged, but not compulsory. Adding ALT Text to images is highly encouraged. β’ Agents and editors can like tweets (β₯οΈ) to indicate interests. Participating professionals often leave guidelines on how to submit on their pages so check for instructions! β’ Keep your pitch to 240 words. The shorter it is the more likely people are to read it!

Iβm actively searching for submissions from Black authors for Mareas! If you're writing literary sci-fi, fantasy, magical realism, or anything that blends genres with bold, resonant themes, I want to read it. Your work deserves a champion, and I can be that person! #booksky #authorsky

If you could give any book its moment on Blueskyβ¦
Iβd pick Strega by Johanne Lykke Holm. Itβs gothic perfection π€ I love this book because it explores coming of age and violence against women so well, without being gratuitous. This was truly written for the girls.
Hi! Iβm Emilee, Iβm writing a YA sapphic fantasy romance and Iβm happy to be here π©·π©·π©·
Mostly YA but I started drafting a middle grade sapphic contemporary romance as well!!

A gold graphic with text from a word document: The sun was just out of bed and stretching, but Aurea already bustled around her, a soft collage of glow and shadow. Nolly tried to mostly see the light: men throwing arms around stumbling friends to guide them home; a woman defending her husbandβs breakfast from a persistent street hound; someoneβs old-world flag hanging proudly. So much of Aurea really was golden, even if it could use the occasional polish. But Nolly still noticed the dark. It had an unmistakable skulk, an easy grin. She saw it in the guards leering openly down breezy blouses, the kingβs unapologetic regulations, the shameless fences between the Crown and Middle Sektorβas though the common peopleβs cracked cobblestone and callused hands would bruise the silky skin on the other side. βWhen Erebus created Aurea,β her father had said, βeveryone who thought as backward as him was free to crawl out of their swamp and shout until you couldnβt hear the rest of us.β Aurea was honest, but sometimes, honesty was hatred without its armor on.
I posted this over on the Bad Placeβ’οΈ, but I wrote Aurea in 2020 partially as a reflection of the 2016 US election cycle, as in, "let's NEVER do that again," and remain so, so tired of realizing how few people care about other people. I will never stop writing about those who do. βοΈ #writingcommunity
