Todayβs Mobile Household Waste Centre visit to Fox Hollies Leisure Centre, Acocks Green, is up and running, busy but orderly. As at 8am the queue is just 5 mins or so. Open until 12.45pm.

Extremely busy Mobile Household Waste Centre visit to Elmdon Road, Acocks Green this morning, with a steady stream of residents clearing their domestic waste and bulky items. It will be there until 12.30 this afternoon.
Attended a packed Hall Green Library this afternoon for the Friends of Hall Green Library Ramadan and Save Our Saturdays Fayre. The Friends of Hall Green Library are spot on when they say our libraries need to stay open full time - 3 days isn't enough! #SaveOurLibraries
Done a stint on the Keep the Green Clean Up this morning. Went down Warwick Road, Westley Road and Fox Hollies Road, finishing in Hazelwood with 260th Scouts. Lots of other groups out - thank you to Fran for organising!
Very busy Mobile Household Waste Centre visit to Thornfield Road, Acocks Green this morning. Over 70 residents had visited by 10.50am this morning with a couple of hours left to go.
Lovely walk this morning along Pool Farm Road, Acocks Green, leafletting residents. Have reported the seemingly obligatory fly-tipped mattress and fridge, and picked up plenty more casework from residents.
Please support this petition. Closing Kings Heath Park Plant Nursery would save little and do huge damage to the local park and wider green communities. Instead the Council should focus on making it break even which is clearly possible. chng.it/M7ZVQ6tZcx
These are the bins at the former Acocks Green Neighbourhood Office, now an HMO. Not collected by BCC as they were overfilled and now with a large volume of side waste. And a fly-tipped fridge on the pavement to complete the scene. I have reported them.

Today I took part in a community clean up of Lakefield Close, Hall Green. We cleared nearly 100 bags of leaves and litter. Here is a before and after of one section and some of the bags.

Councillor Roger Harmer presented a petition on behalf of residents of Oakhurst Road in Acocks Green who seek traffic calming measures.
I have asked Sanctuary Housing to cut back their overgrown hedge which is narrowing the useable area of the pavement on Dudley Park Road, near its junction with Sherbourne Road, Acocks Green.
