I was talking to the law enforcement officer from the NF and the security guard that were there to monitor the rally (they had heard there was going to be a rally) and they had mentioned that the proposal had been removed.
It can be hard to get people to come to public lands rally's despite how popular the issue is the PNW.
Also, I think there might have been a separate public lands rally at the Capitol today.
Sadly there wasn't much of a turn out. But a few people showed up a little bit later. Sorry we missed you.

Rally with in a rally! If you are going to the April 19th Rally in downtown Portland and want to show support for public lands meet at Edith Green Federal building around 11:30am. Then we will move to the main rally at Pioneer Square before 12! Be sure to bring a sign supporting public lands.
