Decided to keep the ball rolling and did Okayu Nekomata's outfit next. I was actually kind of self-conscious about doing Okayu at first because her outfit necessitated showing a bare midriff...

I wanted to try a different approach to inking, so here's a quick sketch and ink of my Chiran character, Teya Emara.
Main point of reference for this is the artist Abara Heiki.
I'm really afraid of breaking lines, So this was a good exercise in trying to do that, at least a little bit.

I was out all day. Running on two hours of sleep.
Passed the fuck out as soon as I got home.
Now I gotta figure out what I'm gonna do. Hopefully I can go to sleep at a more reasonable time tonight.

Did a drawover of a City The Animation poster but with Tabby.
Wanted to see what she'd look like in that style. It's kinda odd, almost feels like it'd be a Happy Tree Friends situation. Cute animation, lots of violence.

Before I started doing work on commissions, I decided to pick up Aseprite and play around with pixel art!
I have a little experience doing it in the past, but aseprite's tools really help things a lot., especially with putting hi-res references images in the background.

Quick and hasty redraws of some old Paving the Way characters.
Several characters in that first line up were super important and integral to Paving the Way's original story. But now, I don't know what to do with them. Heck, Teya wasn't even originally supposed to be the main character.

I saw this gif of Miwako Mizukoshi from HenSemi drooling something fierce and found it so amusing that I wanted a version of my own for Rowe.
So a little bit of drawing over later...
This was fun. Plus now I have a useful reaction for when I find something particularly appealing.
Practicing some portraiture, working off some real faces.
Stylized I may be, always good to work from reality to resolidify where exactly I'm drawing from. Even the most stylized approaches have a foundation in the real world.
