I would just like to remind everyone that the slimy Atlas operative cancelled the network of community organisation supply good lunch (apparently β€œwoke” to have nice food for kids) in favour of a global corporate to serve up disgusting and occasionally dangerous slop to our tamariki.

#RailNews: KiwiRail has shared photos of the completed ocean‑themed mural at Maungawhau Station.

About 5500 Waikato Health New Zealand staff not paid overnight due to glitch One of about 5500 Waikato Health New Zealand employees whose pay was missed told RNZ she has been dipping into her son's account while she has just $2 in hers.

The other β€œshocking” factor (I’m not shocked) is that our full time health professionals aren’t paid enough (& living costs are so high), that they are basically living pay to pay to survive.

Justice also opposed the move that will see kids as young as 14 targetted

It's reassuring that despite the cost of living crisis, the sustained recession, and our general malaise, our splendid banks can still make $30m a day in profits. But, wait, don't judge... (1/2)

Dirty water, death and decline: the inside story of a privatisation scandal There is no end in sight to the pollution caused by a β€˜broken’ system. Experts say it could even be getting worse

Anyone know if any NZ channels are planning to screen "Dirty Business", the docudrama about Britain's broken water system and all the death and disease it's caused?

Feels extremely topical and timely - and from what I've glimpsed, it's a powerfully told story: www.theguardian.com/news/ng-inte...

Government β€˜kicked the tyres’ on solar subsidies but went with β€˜minor’ tweaks instead It is one of the cheapest ways to cut power bills - yet documents reveal the government shelved a subsidy.

New Zealand has more sunshine than Germany.
But only 1 in 35 homes here has rooftop solar.
Australia? 1 in 3.

Why? I tried to find out - despite some strange secrecy

β€œThe impact on disabled people and older New Zealanders is immediate and severe.”

One of those reads that underline there are very real people on the other end of this government’s consistent targeting of vulnerable communities - and those people are badly hurting.

Its latest State of the Nation paints a dire picture of worsening child poverty and unemployment, rising family violence and stubbornly high cost of living pressures.” #nzpol
