One of my biggest fears is somehow transforming into a Disney adult and becoming insufferable at social gatherings.

It already does hold a special place and I’ve only designed 12 pages 🥲 it’s really cool that since I announced the project, I’ve met people who did something similar or are doing zines keeping art and words alive. It’s a beautiful form of activism!

What you did a book too?! That’s amazing! Do you have photos of it? How was the publishing/distribution process? I love that you did this!

5) But during this process, I’ve come to realize this is a true calling for me to do good for the world with the power of art. It’s more than being hung up in a gallery. It’s more than getting likes on social media. It has heart and soul and passion as the driving force. It makes a real difference.

4) people will have their own politics in the group discussions. People have their own beliefs, ideas, etc and will likely engage in potential conflict. Fake news, mixed messages, and tons of things to keep track of (what’s happening where) is no easy task…

3) who are being paired with writers to be the visual for the words. All these elements with keeping the Iranian artists anonymous/safe, managing a team of people to help with organizing and marketing, and being in direct contact with Iranians has been a big learning process…

2) It involves voices of people living in Iran. Whatever they want to say about anything in a poem, story, thought process… whatever it is! Whatever message they want to send to the outside world. Some of them also elected to make their own art with their writing and I have volunteers…

1) My absence from this platform is due to a big zine project to amplify the voices of Iranians and raising funds for them at the same time. This project has been incredibly important, and increasingly so, which is taking a big chunk of my attention…

I think I get your point? It’s kinda hard to follow for me personally but we are two different people in different generations. If you have respect for those being dehumanized, I won’t argue with you.

Hey so are you aware of how elections can be rigged, politicians can lie, and people can be convinced that with their vote their world will become a better place? Are you aware of the “free and fair” not exactly being “free and fair” or what am I missing?
