I’d love to explore all options, including tax reform, closing offshore tax evasion loopholes, ending subsidies for highly profitable large-scale industry, windfall profits / wealth tax…. Something tells me the gov’t isn’t exploring β€œall” options though.

It’s a good reminder to never believe anything a liberal says because they aren’t grounded in any actual values.

I feel so dumb and naive that I really thought Holt was better than this.

I know she’s a liberal & liberals always disappoint, but even still this feels straight out of the Higgs playbook

Maybe we could have both if we taxed the oligarchs instead of funding their losses at the expense of the public purse.

You’ve heard of β€œtrickle down” economics, but have you heard of β€œfirehose” economics, where a company takes money from Canada and then just firehoses it as fast as possible out of the country ??

Yeah no spending 3.76 million per new job seems like a really good return on investment, couldn’t have designed a better economic system myself

Ottawa gives Canada Post a $1.01-billion loan The federal government says it is making more than $1 billion available to Canada Post in the form of a repayable loan to help the Crown corporation.

The government is giving a loan to a Crown corporation that should just be a public service that we pay for because it provides an essential task that Canadians depend on.

We don’t provide loans to the health care system or schools; we just pay for them.

The Schmirving family is estimated to have a tax avoidance bill in the hundreds of millions of dollars. The province has a deficit of hundreds of millions of dollars.

And yet the question to us is always β€œwould you rather have less paramedics or less teachers??? πŸ˜β€ Your choice!

Little tweaks to tax credit systems are the go to policies when liberals don’t actually give a shit about Canadians but want a quick little win in the news cycle or bump to their polling numbers. We see it and we’re sick of it.

This is actually the laziest most ineffective policy I can possibly think of

The gov’t literally commissioned a report on this 2 years ago & you’ll never believe it but a wee one time cash payment & tiny tax credit increase ain’t in the recommendations

Mark Carney’s off making big speeches to distract from how he’s gutting the public service and by extension the capacity of the federal government.

Statistics Canada to cut 850 jobs in 'dark time' for public service, union says Federal statistics agency entered its workforce adjustment period Monday, sending notices to thousands of employees.

Quite frankly, it’s outrageous that Mark Carney is cutting Statistics Canada. If he was Stephen Harper or Pierre Poilievre, I feel like this would be getting a lot more backlash.

Carney of all people should know the importance of high-quality data and information about the country.
