And as a reminder: through the rest of February and all of March, we'll be sending ALL of our profit (from all items) on friendsatthetable.shop to the Immigrant Law Center of Minnesota. But the ICEBREAKER merch seen here (design by @badbucket.bsky.social) is only available during this period!

(not baroque) I’ve been rocking Listen to the City by Tim Weisberg lately, although Twin Sons of Different Mothers is a far superior album ofc

Organizing against borders can seem utopic, but there are many concrete fights:

1 Mutual aid networks
2 Rapid Response actions
3 Stopping PIC construction & budget fights
4 Ending agreements w/ local enforcement
5 Non cooperation of public institutions (hospitals etc) w/ immigration
6 Status 4 All

Someone has sure already made this observation but the fact they can convert all those empty warehouses into prison camps means they could have converted them into housing, community centers, job training centers or, hell, libraries or schools all along. It’s always a matter of will not resources.

ironically, diaper cream would also help! the zinc in it soothes inflammation. for me the best thing is covering them in prescription hydrocortisone cream and then gloves before bed

I have the utmost respect for Senator Kaine and Senator Warner but we do not need β€œcoaching” on redistricting coming from a cuck chair in the corner. How about you all stay focused on the fascist in the White House and let us handle redistricting in Virginia. 10-1

the desire for Endless Franchise is sublimated hunger for God. if the franchise ends the hunger pricks, the dread tide ebbs. the standalone short story exists, in the franchise acolyte's imagination, like the grim reaper a the end of a dark dirt road

i love my friends so dearly. they have many wonderful qualities which i do not possess and this is a mean opinion. BUT! i do feel that if you or a loved one have been forced to listen to jon bellion for hours on end you should be entitled to financial compensation

This is from March but I still think about it and find myself wondering if this is, you know, a viable system of government that can be saved or deserves to be saved.

An illustration in the style of the poster for Little Shop of Horrors. Instead, the text says β€œLyke’s Shop of Horrors” with vines of rosebuds winding around it. One large rose-monster with sharp teeth is about to bite down on Lye Lychen, at right. Lye wears high-waisted green pants with suspenders, a brown shirt with rolled up sleeves, a blue and white polka dot bandana, and vintage pilot goggles. He has angular features and sideburns (not dissimilar to Jack Rackham in Black Sails) and a messy bun. He’s examining a fishbowl with a goldfish (Tombo) in it.

Establishing the President's Make America Healthy Again Commission By the authority vested in me as President by the Constitution and the laws of the United States of America, itΒ isΒ hereby ordered: Section 1.

This commission statement refers to people with Autism, ADHD, asthma, auto-immune disease, and chronic illness as a β€œdire threat to the American people and our way of life”.

This is a manifesto against disability.

This is the language of eugenics.

i'm sure if we identify the demographic that bears singular responsibility for the situation we're in, they will begrudgingly use their awesome power to fix it

liberal christians genuinely cannot wrap their heads around the idea that people who fervently believe in jesus can do & want terrible things. it's a minor frustration in the scope of things, but also an astonishing ignorance of history and an unwitting embrace of hegemony
