Okay, that's good to know then. I do think people can go way overboard with that shit. Like how they wanted Game of Thrones remade because the last season was bad.

I'm just "passing through" a bit lately. I think all social media is bad.
I'm not sure if this is referring to a discussion I had with a mutual about the show. I don't think it's entirely fair to say people are miserable just because they don't like a season of a show. I've seen someone here badmouth the show as well. Anyway, I'm not even supposed to be here.
I find the game is heavily trial and error based. I fuck up nearly all the parries when the enemies first attack me, but over time I memorise their patterns and then it becomes easy to do so. I’m not sure if this is good design.
I’ve been cutting down on it quite a bit myself. But find it hard to completely tear myself away from it.
Jack and Sawyer. It’s also good to see you back on social media, even if I don’t like being here and prefer being on twitter. You’ve been absent from them all for a good while. But it might be better for you mental health that way.
Desmond is awesome too. Definitely a favourite. One episode involving him in season 4 is one of the best TV episodes ever. I agree about the female characters for the most part. Juliet and Sun are the best I’d say. Kate is a mixed bag. She’s a bit too defined by her love triangle with
through, in spite of their flaws. Sawyer has one of the best character arcs ever too. Better than Walter White’s I’d say. There are issues the show has, but it was misunderstood by a lot of people, including myself when it first aired.
The characterisation in Lost is arguably second to none. There are some poor characters, but overall it has a incredible cast. Locke is probably up there with G’Kar from Babylon 5 as my favourite TV character ever. They’re both very tragic figures, that you feel like rooting for the whole way
himself much in the original series, and never really liked the character. Gained does offer some great animation, though. I haven’t played most SH games in years now, so it’s hard to say which holds up the best overall. I think the gameplay in 3 might be the best.
I don’t take differing opinions on media as seriously as I used to. There are times when some opinion can bother me, but there’s no point in getting worked up over it. Different people just value different things. I didn’t care for Evangelion much either. I don’t think Shinji even did improve
*couldn’t
of the town would be nice. I made a bit of an error and repeated the same thing in the second ‘skeet’, but you can’t save drafts here so I ended up leaving it in.
I’m pretty sure no more than a few days passed from when Mary died to when James revisited the town at the start of the game. It’s fair enough if you’re not bothered by this stuff, band I don’t think everything needs to be explained either. I just think some more clarity on the different versions
that’s the thing.
In the film adaptation it is and maybe some of the later games, but at that point in the story it wasn’t abandoned. It’s made clear at the start of SH2, that James and Mary were in a version of the town with normal people. This cousins have happened long before either, because
They just didn’t have much motivation for being in the town. Laura apparently hasn’t ‘sinned’, but I find her to be an annoying brat so I was a bit bothered the town left her off so easily. That’s more of a personal issue, though.
That’s the thing. The town is not abandoned.
A lot of people aren’t bothered by this, but it started to bother me recently. Even some fan theories I’ve heard, don’t fully explain it.
There’s a number of things about how the town operates which isn’t explained. This applies to all the games, but SH2 made it clear that there’s a version of the town that exists that just has normal people, and it just beckons a lot of questions.
I do think the stuff with James was done well, but it’s the other characters that didn’t feel as naturally drawn to the town. Eddie and Laura especially. Laura apparently didn’t even see monsters, which just asks a number of questions. Did she see real people there? Was it just fog without monsters?
with more mature themes, and maybe it does to an extent, but I don’t think it expands on most of them all that much. They’re more just there than explored much. I can’t remember the puzzles of OG SH2 that well. Fair enough on Legacy of Kain. SR2’s ending won’t be satisfying, though.
I don’t. I feel the plot and characters are more disjointed in 2 than in 1. The town itself doesn’t feel all that relevant to the characters plights. Where as in the first game, Alyssa was directly tied to the town and made everyone see what she envisioned. Some people argue the second game deals
Defiance brings the bosses back, but they’re better I that. I’m not sure if you’re just going to play Soul Reaver 2 afterwards or experience more of the series. SH1 definitely does a lot of other things better than 2. It might be my favourite game in the series.
I don’t think SH1 has good voice acting at all. 2 and 3 do, but I never felt 1 did. But yeah, LoK’s voice acting is legendary. Kain’s voice actor(Simon Templeman) is probably my favourite voice actor ever.
the story and world building. I think Soul Reaver 1 actually has the best world building and the best environmental storytelling, but it’s plot only has a few moments that are relevant to the overall series story. The intro is my favourite in gaming, though.
Soul Reaver 2 doesn’t have boss fights. Unless you count the very last one, but that’s very unorthodox to say the least. It focuses more on the story and it has one of my favourite stories in all of gaming. I think the whole series is flawed in terms of gameplay. It’s really a series you play for
It’s the one I’m most interested in too, for similar reasons. I think it unlocks at the same time for me. But it’s also well last 12:00 am in most of America now, so I’m curious as to why it takes later to unlock.
Are you not going to play the prior games first? I also don’t know what time zone the unlocking of games follow. The 14 path of February, is at 12:00, no later.
I notice this site has a ‘discover’ feature now, which seems identical to twitter’s For You. It won’t be long before bluesky has all the problems twitter has, as well as its own.
I done some culling of accounts I followed on X recently. I don’t use this site much, tbh. But I’m trying to limit my time on all social media. I just saw your tweet earlier linking your account here, so I followed you.
