Gonna be a long wait till August for that engine to get banned π
I really enjoy watching other people play these. I have no desire to engage them myself.
Max unable to get the new car through the first corner of the first lap at full speed. Ohhhhh boy.
Unbelievably, the chassis was in fact okay and they are desperately trying to put the car together for quali.
Colton Herta still looking rough in F2 for the sprint race. Damaged the car on lap 2 with a questionable look inside, had several more incidents and spun another car.
Max: "It's like I fucked the steering column! [...]" GP: "Just elaborate on that Max." Max: "Well, I drive out of the pits, right? And I'm steering alot with the column, to try and get out, since then the steering has been completely fucked."
LMAO MAX
Kimi's Antonelli's crash
Huuuuuge wreck for Antonelli in FP3. He is okay but they may not have a car for Qualifying. No way the chassis is okay, they have 2 hours to build a new one.
Yeah. We have a separate line for storm reports that goes to a voice mail that plays over a speaker for all of us. We get plenty of the "you need to issue a (insert warning)" calls that get filtered out via those. Usually if we answer, it is quickly obvious they are experiencing like 40 mph winds.
This is more common than you may think. I've been called by a kid watching some YouTube stream and told I needed to issue a FFW. After the 4th call I asked to speak with parents and gave a line about calling federal protective services if it continued. That finally made the back to back calls stop.
Never happier to have an electric vehicle.
(Yes, I know there will likely be knock on effects for electricity prices, let me have something.)
Probably the first time the Nintendo legal team has done something popular.
Kalshi was reportedly paying a 15-year-old gamer to hype its online gambling platform as part of its heated rivalry with Polymarket until a lawyer said please don't:

The number of people I know who have Duolingo streaks in the hundreds but can barely understand anything in the language is very high.
Good.
This is appropriate. The reason those are licensed professions is that we recognize the danger of letting an untrained human dispense legal or medical advice.
That danger does not disappear when the advice is dispensed by an LLM. In fact, the danger multiplies
Kalshi employees "kind of understand that without the tweets and the streamers and all of the social-media stuff that the traders do for them, usually just for free, their marketing would be a lot harder," said Jack Campion, 20, a junior at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Kalshi affiliate. In September, Kalshi briefly signed up a 15-year-old videogame streamer who goes by vertid online to promote its brand on X as an affiliate. A week later, Kalshi ended the partnership. "Yo brother, legal team confirmed that we can't work with minors rn," a Kalshi employee wrote to the user in messages reviewed by the Journal. "Kinda sad tbh."
what the fuck are we doing

10 minutes into first FP1 of the year and yeah a decent chunk of the field might not finish the first race thanks to engine issues the way this is going lmao
Poketopia, Slay the Spire 2, Marathon.
Good day to be a gamer.
βanger is real, and so is resolveβ goes pretty damn hard
Perfection.
In case you saw the "Windows 12" skeet making the rounds, it is unsurprisingly fake (though it speaks volumes about Microsoft that so many thoughts it real).
Feel free to convert to Linux anyway - it's free and really easy given the right flavor choice these days.
A screenshot of the Polymarket website showing a prediction market titled "Nuclear weapon detonation by...?" under the Geopolitics and Ukraine categories. The market displays three betting options with their current probabilities and "Buy Yes" or "Buy No" prices: "March 31" at 5%, "June 30" at 12%, and "Before 2027" at 22%. The total trading volume shown is over $843,000.
Polymarket has created a betting market on the use of nuclear weapons. Everyone involved in this should be put in prison for life.
Iβve seen enough. Not about the election. Just generally.
New graphic from SPC showing severe thunderstorm risk across portions of the Southern Great Plains Thirsday afternoon and evening. Highest risk level is a 2 out of 5 (Slight Risk) across south central KS, west OK, and the Texas panhandle and west central Texas.
Nice, clean graphics are a plus, but love the highly visible risk descriptions with clear numbering of risk levels. We've been using the zoomed in version of these for a while with much success, so I'm happy to see this go national, so to speak.
You love to see it. May it hold.
Big shoutout to the CAD/wedge, bringing us a lovely 60 degree day instead of the potential upper 70s to 80s (which will be with us by Thursday π« ). At least got to enjoy the outdoor work today.
Turns out that every day is arm day when you have a 20 pound 5 month old.
folks we're turning back the galleons, the corregidores, the very bad gobernadorcillos, oh they're bad, the worst many say, may are saying it, down there they say MUY MALO, it's true
