#NoKingsRally in Carlisle, PA. About 1,000 people on all four corners of our town square. Peaceful, positive, inspiring.
News Article from “PENN LIVE Patriot-News” The heading is “PA mom of disabled son who relies on Medicaid offended by response from Rep. Perry” Article author is Ivey DeJesus Below the headline is a photograph of a white woman with her disabled son. At the bottom is an excerpt from the article: “At 70, Paula Bussard of Cumberland County relies on Medicaid to cover all the costs of care for her medically complex and profoundly handicapped son. She reached out to her representatives in Congress but was not expecting the seeming insult she received from Rep. Scott Perry.”

Trump is planning a military parade in DC on June 14, but the biggest story of that day will be the actions we take everywhere else. I'm rallying on No Kings Day in Carlisle, PA, at 4:30 p.m., to reject strongman politics and corruption. app.sosha.ai/s/bb4ICs11

Green background, in the bottom right is a man in a wheelchair, wearing Eagles gear and a tan blanket. Text reads “My son Alex, like 1-in-5 individuals on Medicaid, is considered to be disabled. He can’t work. He needs Medicaid for medication, doctors, in home care, and more. One of the tradeoffs for tax cuts for millionaires and billionaires is health care cuts for our nations more vulnerable citizens. If you are not okay with these cuts, you need to tell your U.S. Senators and Representative that this isn’t what you want. Please tell them to protect Medicaid.” -Paula Bussard, Carlisle In the bottom right is PA Megaphone logo in the shape of Pennsylvania
Pennsylvanians like Alex deserve healthcare they can rely on. Republicans in Congress want to cut Medicaid and other programs that keep Alex in his community, just so billionaires can get more tax cuts. Pennsylvanians deserve #CareNotCutsPA!

Spent the middle part of the day at Hershey Medical Center for Alex to get a new PEG tube. All went well. New tube is different so I'll have to learn how to administer medicines, but otherwise Alex is A-O-K!!
Stopping NIH funding? Is this retribution as the states that lead the nation in training physicians and in medical research funding are CA, NY, MA, and PA? The president isn't that smart but the hateful people around him are.
In a world of Donald Trumps, be more like Chef Andres, who called for the president to build longer tables, or Bishop of Washington Budde, who called the president to honor the dignity of every human being.
Alex giving me the thumbs up about this.
