Incredible. Keep it up!
Incredible. Keep it up!
This is stunning. Listen to this in Philadelphia.
Thousands singing βHey-Oh, we wonβt be silent while our friends are gunned down.β
Really listen to it.
Screen-free meals are a large reason why I still subscribe to the Saturday print edition. I miss my paper!
I called this morning after the delivery deadline and before customer service closed at noon and they said a substitute delivery person was on their way but no paper arrived. π₯
Dear @winnipegfreepress.com for a second week in a row my Saturday paper was not delivered. When reporting a missed delivery online the only option is 'extend my subscription'. Very disappointing. I miss my paper. Yes I can read it online, but we try very hard to remain screen free at family meals.
This was brutal. Call should have been made much earlier. When the busses got cancelled I switched to driving my boys to school, only to get stuck in the back lane after pushing a neighbour's car out first. Then we finally heard at 7:45 that schools were closing.
This is a sad development. Kids need homework, I wish both of my kiddos (Gr 6 and Gr 9) would receive more. They both get a very small amount as compared to my student experience and this is not preparing them well enough.
Yes! This is needed.
Congrats on your well-deserved win, Emma!
Teachers, if you can check off any of the boxes below (!) then you should clear your calendar for Friday (Oct. 24).
@winnipegfreepress.com media literacy teachers are unveiling the beta version of our free K-12 #mbed platform at MTS PD Day!
At a full day workshop today (Leadership Winnipeg with Wpg Chamber of Commerce & @volunteermb) - awesome so far! Sadly, however, I am the only one to stay in and work through lunch while everyone else has gone to eat out. Sigh. #notforprofitlife #artsadmin #artsadminlife
This is all just being said out loud now on the air on Fox βNewsβ, instead of away from the cameras like before. Thatβs whatβs changed. Theyβre testing the response and normalizing the idea at the same time.
I might not go quite that far (maybe because I'm cheap and sit in the 200 section), but they do do a terrific job of transforming it into a basketball court.
A broken promise to change that persists. Very frustrating, and concerning. I had hoped that the turnover on the board and senior leadership in theast two years would result in positive change with regards to transparency...
It should not have to come to using the ward allowance to do this, but for once I support Eadie, as these encampments need more support. We have encampments all along St John's Park and across the river in Elmwood Park, and with the shooting in St John's Park earlier this month, folks are scared.
βFixing climate change is too expensive.β
Um no. Whatβs really expensive is doing nothing.
Climate disasters cost billionsβand those costs are rising fast. Climate solutions save money and lives, as well as building a better world for us all ππ
Raskin: This is a gangster state. This is not basically a legitimate government that is sometimes doing corrupt things. This is an essentially corrupt enterprise. It's like watching The Sopranos. Every day, they get up and they try to figure out how to plunder and pillage the people
Dear @cityofwinnipeg.bsky.social Cathedral Ave between Main St & Scotia St was cleaned last night but this vehicle was not moved or towed and this spot missed. Also, they left a ridge of dirt the whole length of the street. Can this be re-cleaned please?
The US voted for βChangeβ.
Just saying.
Be careful what you wish for.
Star Trek The Search for Spock scene. Our Lord and Savior Spock is pictured in a white robe. He stands surrounded by his shipmates who are all older here than they were in the TV show. Sulu is touching Spock's chest for some reason and he's smiling. Uhura, Chekov, Scotty, and Bones also all seem thrilled to see him. Despite being surrounded by friends, Spock is staring only at Kirk, for obvious reasons.
He is risen
Good grief.
Hi once more, @cityofwinnipeg.bsky.social, the new concrete median on Matheson Ave at St Cross St has been destroyed during snow clearing this winter and these two new, huge concrete slabs are askew, leaving a gravel hole in the path pedestrians take to walk across the street on the east side.
Hello again, @cityofwinnipeg.bsky.social, there is a pothole in front of 144 Machray Ave.
Hello @cityofwinnipeg.bsky.social there is a clogged/frozen catch basin in front of 142 Machray Ave.
Good morning @cityofwinnipeg.bsky.social, there is a clogged/frozen catch basin on St John's Ave just west of where it meets Fowler St.
Show some gratitude to the financial geniuses in the White House, America!
Reminder that removing GST on a good that we both export and import, that is unreasonably tariffed in the United States is effectively getting a subsidy from ALL Canadian taxpayers for your personal car purchase.
Worse, it makes good on Trump's promise to "make other countries" pay.
