I guarantee, this reboot will likely head to the west.
Wouldn't be surprised if a western Plakoro playtest ends up in PokemonXP's Play Lab later this year.
There's precedent.
The arcade version of Pokken was demoed at '15 Worlds in Boston long before it's WiiU/Switch ports were dreamt of.
I wouldn't be surprised if my predictions after the September Nintendo Direct last year (that first showed us Pokopia) are very accurate.
A Switch 2 console purchase for Pokopia (perhaps buying ZA on the side, FRLG, Champions), means less of a fight to sell Gen 10 in '27.

I wouldn't be surprised if a near 20yr old football stadium at Robina in Queensland will be newsworthy this week for many local news outlets wanting to onsell stories globally.
All of Iran's group stage games in the Womens Asian Cup this year are being played on the Gold Coast.
@joemerrick.bsky.social Apparently Winds/Waves website is live.
And we have names for those Pikachu at the start of the trailer...
"Mr Windychu" and "Ms Wavychu".

Somebody should tell the IOC to actually make violating the Olympic Truce by a IOC member state (as the 2026 edition not due to expire until March 22, a week after the end of the Winter Paralympics) a punishable offence of the highest order.
See what happens.

@dogasusbackpack.bsky.social Really big missed opportunity by Hanshin here with the big Pokemon 30 promotion in Japanese baseball: Elebuus themed baseball gear.
Could also surprisingly translate well to the west...
Considering the Switch 2 only just came out just under 9 months ago: I see a 2027 holiday release as a smart move.
Especially if Nintendo has a handheld-only revision of the Switch 2 in the pipeline.
Also allows for demand generated by FRLG re-release for RSE to get the same to be met.
I think Game Freak are confident enough in Pokemon Champions (and a renewed Mega format) to release Gen 10 in '27.
Yes the leaks were right... but the rumored release date was wrong.

Very interesting that the apps are being blasted through quickly.
Last 15mins will be very important...

6. Pokemon Bank 3DS is headed for retirement... but not necessarily Brigette...
7. Home will be able to do what was impossible in 2003: a transfer from RGBY/GSC to a Gen 3 title, sooner rather than later.
#PokemonDay #PokemonPresents
4. Colosseum/XD NSO release date is announced.
5. FRLG won't be the only Switch ported Pokemon main series title this year: for one reason, FRLG's post-game National Dex is very much Hoenn-dependent.
#PokemonDay #PokemonPresents
3. Lot of bingos out there with "Worlds", but one has to remember the other side of the Worlds coin in 2026: Pokemon XP. We've heard little about the Pokemon XP event in San Francisco since it's announcement in August last year.
#PokemonDay #PokemonPresents
1. Champions is coming. Will it be a shadow-drop tonight, or a second Presents dedicated entirely to it, coming down the line aka Pokemon Unite.
2. Gen 10: all depends on Game Freak having the confidence to go all-in on Switch 2 after ZA.
#PokemonDay #PokemonPresents
B, for Blaziken of course: probably looking forward to "Get In Losers, we are getting a re-release" sooner rather than later.
Predictions for tonight's Pokemon Presents, brought to you by the letter B, and Dorkly's "Kanto Fried Chicken".
There is a gag inside the ALT btw.

As for the Stardew move to add Clint and Sandy as marriage candidates in 1.7: I reckon they are there to demonstrate rumored new mechanics.
I reckon the real reason for the Timberborn 1.0 delay: Disney's latest Pixar film... about robotic beavers!
I somehow think @joemerrick.bsky.social at Serebii quietly hopes for this to happenβ¦
Will be interesting to see if we get three more PokΓ©mon with an anniversary logo tomorrow night.
Probably the tightest kept secret right now.
Bold prediction for a surprise PokΓ©mon Day Presents announcement.
PokΓ©mon Bank/Transporter on 3DS will have a closure date announced severing Gens 3-5 from Gens 6-10 (and 3DS VC Gens 1-2) in the process.
This is why FRLG and potentially RSE are coming to Switch.

100% the reason why GF went the eShop route for GBA re-releases.
Wouldn't be surprised if they are also pressuring Nintendo day/night to not have Save Data Cloud/Rewind in the Genius Sonority Gamecube spinoffs (Colosseum/XD) coming to NSO: especially if there is no Home compatiblity for NSO titles.
Very interesting to see GF go with the standalone eShop drop for FRLG.
I'd also expect that RSE will be on it's way in the near future.
If anything, it only adds more fuel to the popular rumor that the Gen 1/2 titles being reissued as one collection.
#PokemonDay is going to be big. Bank on it.

Apparently someone is currently trying to sell card prototypes of the Hawke "Australia Card" proposal from the mid 80's... on eBay for $11k.
Know someone at the Museum of Australian Democracy in Canberra who can identify if they are indeed real?
