In Wake of Court Losses, Rhode Island Codifies ‘Right to Read’ Rhode Island signed into law the Freedom to Read Act on July 10. The law is the first to guarantee writers and readers a right to sue for censorship, and shields librarians from criminal prosecution.

I'm spending Valentine's Day catching up with critiques I owe people. Which I love doing! Reading and studying stories is what makes a #writer better. And there's usually more than a few good laughs in #kidlit!

Right at the end of my street there's an open space easement with a crushed gravel path through fields and woods to the next township. Really muddy this time of year - but we saw two bluebirds this morning!

Instead of walking in the neighborhood the new doggo and I have been walking in the woods. Some mornings (today!) we're the first footprints on the path besides the woodland creatures.

We had a dusting last night and doggo and I followed rabbits and deer (didn't see the fox this time).

Thank you for this! Does anyone have a "primer" on how to use Bluesky or what non 12x 12 accounts to follow? I had reciprocal links with a bunch of agents and editors and librarians/ reviewers and I know a lot of us have changed our "handles."
