High praise for this extraordinary exploration of inclusive constitutionalism. I am finding ways in my own life to “Walk as if I can see” even when the next step/future path is unclear.

MIT report: 95% of generative AI pilots at companies are failing There’s a stark difference in success rates between companies that purchase AI tools from vendors and those that build them internally.

MIT’s NANDA initiative found that 95% of generative AI deployments fail after interviewing 150 execs, surveying 350 workers, and analyzing 300 projects. The real “productivity gains” seem to come from layoffs and squeezing more work from fewer people not AI.

Such a dizzying array of fallacies. How does it work? Do they each get a morning print-out of the “lie list” for the day? Practicing falsehoods like school kids commit multiplication tables to memory?

I recall Biden’s retort to his poor stage performance was “it’s hard to debate a liar”. Indeed.

Turmoil at US science academy as Trump cuts force layoffs Efforts by leaders of the US national academies to adjust to the new political reality have spurred member concerns about capitulation and censorship.

Amid the Trump administration's attacks on science, the National Academies are undergoing upheaval—a 30% reduction in its 1200-person staff by year's end, and possibly a vote of no confidence for its leader, Marcia McNutt.
